"World Film Magic, a Hollywood based film and DVD distribution company, announces the release this March 13 of the English movie Chunky Monkey. According to CEO Jose Gonzalez, “World Film Magic is on the cutting edge, bringing high-quality independent cinema to a large and ever-growing online audience.” The Latino owned company offers a variety of motion picture entertainment from around the world in different languages. Chunky Monkey, produced by Phil Hunt and directed by Greg Cruttwell, was referred to as "an Edward Hopper painting commissioned by Monty Python" by Anton Bitel of movie-gazette.com. Having been threatened with legal action by everyone from Julie Andrews to Unilever, the year's most controversial comedy is released in uncut, unedited and totally uncompromised form. Having murdered the proprietor of the local curry house for forgetting to send him a Christmas card, Donald Leek is looking forward to his regular “meeting” with a local actress, and Julie Andrews lookalike, with unusual sexual habits. As the appointed hour approaches, however, his flat is invaded by a string of uninvited guests including skinhead evangelists, a Latino lounge singer, Donald's overbearing uni-testicled cousin, a porn star, and a man with a huge Afro who claims to be Jesus Christ. Needless to say, all this unwanted disruption irritates Donald - and Donald is someone you do not want to irritate.
The film will be available on March 13, 2007 at www.worldfilmmagic.com and from selected major retail outlets.
