Five legendary bank robbers, all beyond their prime, carve out a nice lifestyle for themselves as they sit out their long sentences in a Spanish maximum-security prison. The jail has become their domain as their legacy and reputation has earned them respect and admiration from both prisoners and guards. Their life behind bars has become one of certain privileges but is turned upside down when they are granted a surprise and immediate release. Once on the streets of a modern and greatly changed Madrid, they struggle to fit in as they plan one more major heist together.
